This is a song I just came across a couple of minutes ago while I was on youtube....
This is a comment that Holly (the one who sang this) posted under the video:
Thank you everyone for your comments, God gave this message to me as I always have prayed for more faith, patience... etc.. but the Bible says if we "Dont Have Love" we have nothing (1Cor 13:1-3) so I decided I wanted to start to pray for "Love"... its cool He's using this song to speak to all of you too. God is LOVE! Thanks so much! ~Holly
I want to share with you guys something I do... I have a youtube account, but I mostly use it to make playlists. When I sit down at my laptop I put my earbuds in, and play one of my playlists : )
It is almost all Chrisitan music, and is a great way to think about God while you are surfin' the internet
(If you are on youtube and want to visit my account and see my playlists or drop me a comment, my username is IloveJesus390)
Have a great ***ht!!!!

So, you know how when people think of Bible verses about pride, they think of the one that goes "pride goeth before a fall"? Well that is definitely not the ONLY one. God really does not like pride, or arrogance at all. In His eyes it is a very bad thing. Except in this day an age people typically overlook pride.. And we forget that humbleness is an amazing gift! Here are just a few of the multiple verses God gives us about humility.
In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God. Psalm 10:4
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. Proverbs 11:2
The eyes of the arrogant man will be humbled and the pride of men brought low; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day. Isaiah 2:11

What does it mean to love the things of this world? Well, first, let’s take a look at a couple important passages that speak of ungodly things of this world that we should refrain from and in contrast some things that we should dwell on.
Galatians 5:19-23
19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality,20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, 21 envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
Phillipians 4:8
8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
Wow, that's quite a few things to live by! It mentions many things, that I think are all important. It talks about the deeds of the flesh (Which could also be considered things of the world), these things we definitely do not want to participate in. In Philippians 4:8 we see all the things that we should dwell on. That includes thoughts, actions, and pretty much everything we do! You might be thinking, "Well, that's really easy!". But, it's really a very big challenge! Like, one thing that is really hard to refrain from, that there is lots of peer pressure to do so, is to go to movies that violate Philippians 4:8, and actually go along with Galatians 5. I’m sure you can draw your own conclusions on what types of movies we might be inclined to watch today that would violate Philippians. In truth, you have to realize that most movies these days do violate these verses, and if you are truly a Christian it’s really important to follow what the scriptures say. You may think "I'm in my later years of high school, things like that don't bother me", but these verses don't specifically call out an age group. I think that anyone should abide by these verses as much as possible in everything. A few other things people might want to do that disregard these verses could be the books you read, the music you listen to, and even the video games you play. So, this is really a huge challenge for us today, as the world is completely opposite everything I have just said, but to answer that take a look at the verse in 1 John that we are studying for this Verse-a-Day Edition:
1 John 2:15-17
15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever
In Application, it's really important that we make sure that whatever we are thinking about and our actions, should truly be above reproach, and Godly. It's really important that we take these verses seriously, and abide by them, as they are clear commands from God himself.
Another thing this shows us, is that God really does care about sin, and it really does mean something when we sin, from other places in the Bible it actually says that it grieves the Spirit of God when we sin. God wants us to live in a Godly way, and it pleases Him when we do so.
To me, that is enough motivation to live in a way that would be pleasing to Him.
Thanks for reading! Hopefully I will get Verse-a-Day Special(Extended Edition) {Part 3} posted here soon.

"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love"
What this verse is saying is where ever we are, what ever we are doing, we should remain in Jesus' love! We should not just think "Jesus loves me. What a nice thought. Now back to what I'm doing" We should always stay in his love! Always remember how much he loved us, when ever and where ever you are!
Thanks for reading!
