You're walking through the forest, afraid of what will happen next. You have strayed from your old home, and could swear you were seeing eyes everywhere you looked. Your cracked paw pads hurt each time you step on the hard soil beneath you, but you were following the sound of a river, and you needed water badly. The rushing sound grew in your ears, faster and louder. And then everything suddenly goes black....
"Who are you?!" You wake up with a jolt to find a drooling black wolf standing over you.
"Relax, Tamar." A gentle, dazzling white retriever lay near him. Her crystal blue eyes sparked with fury that didn't show up in her tone. You look between the two for a minute, and then find more canines surrounding you. A rusty red fox stands between the two who had spoken. She seems more sophisticated than the others, but her eyebrows fold in a stern expression. "Both of you, why don't we tend to this... stray." She looks between them with sharp green eyes and then looks up at you. "What is your name?"
You can only stutter.
A jackal then steps in from behind you. He sits down and itches his ear for a few minutes. He then looks up with frisky green eyes and stares at you. "Come on, we'll take you in," he says, tongue lolling out of his mouth as he itches his side once more.
"No, we will." Three dogs seem to speak at once, and then they glare at each other. One is a young female, her brown body seems to be patterned with darker stripes. The second one is just a small dog, her body is long and a creamy-white color with an orange back and head. The last is a wide gray wolf, his eyes are sympathetic, but his voice is deep and firm. The canines explain to you that they are leaders of different packs, and the rushing water you must have heard is the sea in between the two islands. Only the alphas know how to cross it, so if you decide to go with one of the three of the seven canines, they'll have to take you across. There's a simple mist over the place where you cross, so you won't be able to find it yourself. You haven't yet found out that four of these canines hold the power of one of the elements. Who will you go with? You need to be in a group to survive, unless you want to trek further into the unknown.

THE ELEMENTS:
Fire: This element is only available to the canines in Blazing Skies Pack. You may create small fires and you are usually not cold because you can warm up easily. Markings usually include red streaks on the paws, but not all Blazing Skies Pack canines have any special marking at all. You may not do outragous things such as creating a forest fire. You may not breathe fire either.
Water: This element is only available to canines in Rushing Creeks Pack. Where ever you dig you find water, so you'll have to find a den under roots or something. You may not create floods or anything extreme like that. You may make it rain but not make things freeze. You can also survive for a longer time without water. Main markings of these canines are misty blue swirls on their hind leg, though they don't all have those markings.
Earth: This element is only available to canines in Twisted Vines Pack. You can make small shrubs grow and you are particularly strong. You may make the earth shake slightly around you, but no large earthquakes. You can move the land, but only as much as to make a pretty well structured den. Markings are usually natural colors and green.
Air: This element is only available to canines in Chilled Winds Pack. You are faster than the average wolf. These wolves can also fly, but only as high as the trees around them and they do not have wings. You and the canines around you have a distinct cool, minty scent. Markings are usually white streaks.

History: Aphrodite has had a very harsh past. Her mother past away when she had just learned to hunt. Her brothers and sisters were much younger, and she hasn't seen them since the litter split apart and set off on their own ways. Her father did what he could to control his temper and care for the cubs, but sometimes it was hard for him not to snap. She promised herself she would never let anyone go through that or the other stuff she went through.

If you knew his history, you would know part of the reason. The male jackal's long tongue is always lolling out of his mouth happily, though he isn't as sociable as he looks. Unless you're on his side. Otherwise he wants nothing to do with you. He wants you off the face of the Earth.

Personality: Rosco is loving and caring, especially to his land. He cares for it like it's his own pup. He looks like an average happy-go-lucky canine, and though he can be rather sociable, he doesn't like to talk. Some might call him "deep", because he really thinks that you miss so much by speaking. He's friendly and doesn't mean any harm, but some others might find him creepy when he pads quietly up to them. He's just a quiet, happy jackal.
History: Despite his friendly personality, Rosco's past wasn't the same. He was caught and raised as a pup by two humans who planned to breed him to create a new type of domesticated dog. He wasn't whipped or abused, but he was neglected. Barely ever bathed or brushed or exercised, the male wasn't having a full life. He got fleas and scratched even when he didn't have them because he was so used to scratching. He was let free when the police got a hold of them and he was set free to find refuge on the island.

Personality: Gemma tries to be very sophisticated, and she can be very strict with her pack and some particular others. She isn't the type you would like to pull a prank on. She doesn't have a thing for cubs, kits, or pups, and is a little weary around them. She seems to be more tense when they're near because they just... bug her. She is kind, just stern. It would take a lot to get close to her.
History: Gemma was born and raised in the territory that Chilled Winds is. It was all valley that was roamed by loners when she was born. She always dreamed of being the boss of her own pack, so she made the territory her own, inviting as many as she could find to join her and share the land, and the element, with her and her family. Her parents and siblings have all passed.
