Enthusiasm vs. Apathy
Expressing with my spirit the joy of my soul.
Life is something to be enthusiastic about!! Even if what is going on is not too exciting that is no reason we can not be joyful, and pumped up!! Enthusiasm is contagious, it spreads like wild fire! Imagine if ever single believer out there was SOO excited, and joyful about sharing Gods word? It would make a big difference! When we are enthusiastic, it makes others so as well.
Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,
Deuteronomy 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do [it] with thy might;
Some days I wake up and just don't feel like being happy or enthusiastic, so I just fake it!! Yes I pretend to be happy and it tricks my mind into thinking that I am!
Being enthusiastic about our work can make us go faster and get the job done! plus it makes people around us happy too! Like for example on days that I just drag my school along, it takes forever and I don't get half the stuff done that day that I wanted to, but on days that I am enthusiastic, I finish really quickly which puts me in an even better mood, and makes the people around me happier too!
All these verses basically say to be enthusiastic in the things you do and to do them with all your might! Be joyful while you work for the Lord! Its a lot more fun than being a drag!
