Hey peoples! 
Of course it is the obvious that God wants us to be kind, but I tend to feel like if someone did something bad to me I outta get em right back! God has a better idea than I do though.. He says that if we show kindness to someone mean, if we smile at people who frown, if we choose to politely drop the argument instead of letting it brew into a fight, if we consider what we would do if Jesus was standing right there watching us, it WILL make a difference! People who are mean probably are because someone was mean to them. If you "get them back" that will just make them worse. I find I am kind to people when I am in a good mood, and there is a little secret a bird told me once on how to always be joyful: Even if you feel cranky, PRETEND to be happy, and you will trick your mind into thinking that you are! Smile if something happened to put you in a bad mood! Laugh in grumpiness's face because you have the mind power to be happy!
Proverbs 11:25 - The generous person will be prosperous, and he who waters will himself be watered.
Luke 6:27-31 - Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you.
Matthew 6:34 - Do not be anxious for tomorrow; tomorrow will care for itself.
Galatians 6:9 - Let us not lose heart in doing good.
