Lane Merrifield, the only remaining original co-founder of Club Penguin has announced that he will be leaving his position as the Executive Vice President of Disney Online Studios in February, 2013. He’s going to take his efforts and experience in building Club Penguin and working for Disney for the past 5 years to work on a startup called FreshGrade, a cloud-based educational tool.
We all know that there’s a special place for Club Penguin in Lane’s heart and we hope that he’ll still log onto his Billybob account from time-to-time to say hi!
