The Club Penguin Games 2012 party is making a return after 4 years, check out the screenshot below for proof!
The last time that Club Penguin had the Club Penguin Games party was in 2008, to celebrate the Olympics in Beijing. As many of you know, the 2012 summer Olympics will take place this summer in London in late July through Mid-August. With the upcoming Ultimate Jam 2012 party in a few weeks, we would expect the Club Penguin Games to start on either August 2, 2012 or August 9, 2012!
The 2008 Penguin Games lasted from August 22, 2008 to August 27, 2008, and there were 3 events set up around Club Penguin modeled after the Olympics — The Marathon, the Three Lap Race and the Swimming Event. Once you completed the 3 events, you were awarded a Gold Medal, shown on the upper right.
The 2012 Penguin Games should allow us all another chance to get the medal, which you can also get through an unlock in the Club Penguin: Game Day video game.
